Q&A WITH MELLISSA MOSS
What is the one HONA colour you have and wish clients would have more?
Wild Child because I think it's such a stunning green! Hopefully now it's coming up to spring clients might be more tempted.
And being cheeky but I have to choose a Detail paint too, I think the Celestial collection is so underrated, more people need to have Earth because I'm obsessed!
What advice would you give to someone self-employed who has had some time off work and is struggling to build new clients?
To just stop and breath, you've got this. Make a plan, get on canva and create some new advertisement that you can share on your socials. Post on local groups on Facebook! The main thing I've found that's helped is making sure I get my hashtags right. The new clients I've had since recovering from surgery have all found me by searching hashtags! I always put #croydonnailtech. The most important thing is to not compare yourself to others. We are all on our own journeys and no two will look the same. Reach out to other nail techs too they're the best support I've had.
Why did you choose HONA?
I first started using Hona's Detail paints when the celestial collection came out! Earth and Uranus just caught my eye and they're still my faves now. What made me convert completely to Hona was the fact you were Hypoallergenic. From someone who suffered massively with an allergic reaction when using another brand this just completely changed my life and I knew it was the right path to take not just for myself but to keep my clients safe. I could use builder gel again and not end up with sore, itchy, cracked fingers! I love how much Hona cares about their community and it really does feel like I have a new family. You've all supported me through the hardest time in my life and I could never be more grateful. I love you all!

- Coffee - I breath coffee!
- Music - not a day goes by when I don't listen to music. It's my therapy and changes completely every day.
- Books - I love a real book and the smell but my kindle has taken over as I just read so much!
- Pasta - I'm a carb girlie!
